Join the City of Pasco for an evening of community engagement on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 6:15–8:15 PM at the HAPO Center.

Residents and stakeholders are invited to:
• Meet the finalists for Pasco’s next Police Chief
• Learn more about the proposed Sylvester Street Overpass Pedestrian/Bicycle Access Project

Police Chief Meet & Greet + Community Q&A
The City of Pasco is currently conducting a nationwide search for the next leader of the Pasco Police Department. Community members will have the opportunity to meet the finalists and hear from them during a formal Q&A panel discussion.

Have a question for the candidates? Submit questions for consideration through the City of Pasco website before 5 PM on June 3, 2026. Please note that submitted questions are subject to public disclosure, and not all questions may be asked during the event.

The Pasco Police Department employs more than 100 staff members and operates with an annual budget of approximately $26 million. The department maintains dual accreditation through CALEA and the State of Washington, reflecting its commitment to professional excellence and public service.

Sylvester Street Overpass Pedestrian/Bicycle Access Project Open House
The City will also share information about the proposed pedestrian and bicycle overpass connecting West Sylvester Street between North 28th Avenue and Road 32.

The current bridge over US 395 is too narrow for pedestrians and cyclists to comfortably cross, making this improvement an important step toward increased safety and accessibility for everyone.

Project design is currently about 60% complete. While construction funding is not yet fully secured, the City is actively pursuing additional grant opportunities with the goal of moving the project forward in 2027.

The Pedestrian and Bicyclist Program is supported with funding from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act, which invests in projects that reduce climate pollution, create jobs, and improve public health.

We hope you’ll join us for this opportunity to connect, ask questions, and help shape Pasco’s future.
