Heat Resilience
Overview
Heat resilience is how well people, buildings, and cities can handle and bounce back from dangerous heatwaves. It means making quick plans to save lives during a heat emergency, like opening cooling shelters and sending out weather alerts. It also means changing our towns for the long term by planting more trees, building parks, and using special roof materials that reflect the sun to keep neighborhoods naturally cooler.
