What is it?
The bicycle is a versatile machine for transportation, exercise, and enjoyment. Cycling is important to sustainability because it reduces greenhouse gas emissions, lowers air pollution, and decreases reliance on fossil fuels. It also promotes health, reduces traffic congestion, and requires minimal resources compared to motorized transport, making it an eco-friendly and efficient mode of transportation.
Transportation is one of the key sectors for Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) by the Washington Climate Partnership to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.
