Water Conservation
What is it?
The practice of using water efficiently and reducing waste to ensure a sustainable supply for the future. This includes strategies like reducing water use in homes, businesses, and agriculture, fixing leaks, and using water-efficient appliances. It also involves protecting rivers and waterways by reducing pollution, preventing overuse, and preserving natural water sources. Conserving water helps protect ecosystems, supports biodiversity, and ensures clean, accessible water for future generations.
