Humans have transformed the landscape by removing native habitat, adding non-native species, building structures, and altering ecosystem processes. Addressing the challenges that these changes pose for native plants and wildlife seems overwhelming. A good place to start is your own corner of the world – your home, yard, or local park. In this presentation, I will talk about ways that we can all help our feathered friends, from reducing bird-window collisions to promoting healthy habitats that provide birds with the food and shelter they need.
Come hear Lori Nelson discuss
How you can make your yard friendlier to birds!

Lori is a life-long learner and associate professor of biology at Washington State University Tri-Cities. Her teaching and research reflect her twin goals of encouraging nature-friendly communities and providing undergraduate students with authentic research opportunities.
