Badger Mountain Westgate Trailhead

Celebrate Native Plant Appreciation Month with Benton Conservation District, Columbia Basin Native Plant Society Friends of Badger Mountain, and Benton County Parks at Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve!

A BioBlitz is a short-term community science event where participants work together to identify as many species of plants, animals, and other organisms as possible in a specific area.

After you sign up and register, join the project on iNaturalist. You can follow along for updates and journal posts to get excited about the event (iNaturalist Event).

If you are interested in contributing beyond this event, you can join the Badger Mountain Centennial Preserve Project on iNaturalist and upload at any point without a time-limit. Whenever you recreate here, share what you find by uploading them to iNaturalist.

Never participated in a BioBlitz before? Or used iNaturalist? No worries! There will be an online iNaturalist workshop hosted by the Native Plant Appreciation Month committee! We will then have experts at our event to help you and guide you. We welcome everyone from all backgrounds, experience, or enthusiasm to join us to celebrate and engage in community science.
