Membership and Support
Individuals that work in, or have a passion for, energy or environmental issues are encouraged to support the mission of ALSC. There are several ways to participate in this rewarding work:
Board meetings are held monthly, usually the second Monday of the month from 10:30 am to noon. Guest speakers often open our meetings with informative perspectives on current issues, projects, and initiatives. The meeting takes place in the Bechtel Conference Room at the Tri-Cities Business & Visitor Center, 7130 W Grandridge Blvd, in Kennewick
How is ALSC funded? – The ALSC is a not for profit organization funded entirely by donations and fees associated with regional events.
Is the ALSC a Political Action organization? – No. The ALSC is governed by a volunteer Board of citizens that are interested in working with local and regional policy makers, corporate leaders, citizens, and other stakeholder groups in a collaborative manner, without engaging in political campaigns, or divisive efforts with narrow geographic or special interests.
Working Groups meet regularly to focus on specific aspects of regional sustainability.
Communication Committee develops infrastructure to disseminate the message of sustainability.
Task Forces, finite working groups, target events & projects.
